I don't know how many folks are interested, but Butch Searcy is making new Farquharson single shot actions and rifles. Looks like he is following the true lines and components of the original Farquharson's made during the golden age British Firearms. He can make the action available for both rimmed and rimless cartridges, up to the 577 Nitro Express. Prices start at $4,500 for the action or completed rifles starting at $11,000. Pretty much puts it out of my reach, but they are some fine looking firearms.

He does some wonderful work on doubles. Even though his double rifles start around $8K, they are really fine and fairly compare to much, much more expense rifles. Most do like his rifles as good, if not better, than the Krieghoff's, Merkel's and others reaching into the mid-5 figure range. His workmanship equally compares to many of the fine British houses.

But, I live in the real world, too. Guess I'll get along with just looking at the pictures.
