just aquired a sidelock muzzleloader from my grandad. it is 52 caliber i believe and shoots a 509 ball. it was made for my granddad by a gentleman in 1981 and has never been shot until the other day. iwas wondering about the patches for it. I baught some ticking today and wondered if the patches needed to be cut into circles or if a square patch was ok. iv been lubeing the patches with bore butter. just wanting some info and thought this was the place to find it. thanks
