While I'm not looking to spend a fortune, I am interested in a decent night vision piece. I've no experinece with them so, do any of you? What do you like and what is the best source and what are the gotchas. Tia!

its like any other optic. Buy good gear the first time and dont be afraid to save up for a while either as good NV costs. Generation 2+ or better yet Gen 3 is a good place to begin but start thinking that you will spend real money not just a couple hundred bucks.
