My Uncle recently gave me a Tikka T3 Light Stainless in 30-06 and a Nikon Pro Staff 7 ( New stuff but he messed up his whole shoulder and cannot take recoil anymore so he gave the Tikka and scope to me) the only problem is, is that when he was shipping the scope to me, he did it by bringing the rifle to me and then sending me the scope, he didn' include rings because he wanted to keep them for my cousin. I do not know why but he gave me a nice rifle and scope so I am not going to argue. Anyways I am wondering what size rings I should get for this. I am looking at DNZ products too. Another question is how far do you think I can shoot with the Tikka?

Mediums should still work, but of course you'll need 30mm rather then the 1" I referenced. If rifle and shooter are both capable, in '06 you have a 350- 400 yard set-up. You and that rifle will need some practice together with a good 165gr (or similar) load first though.

Good luck!
