I’m thinking about trying some Nosler RDF bullets in the 7 mag that I am building. I have the Berger 180’s as well as the Sierra 180 mk. I saw that Nosler was selling 185 rdf’s for .39 each. That’s considerably cheaper than either the Berger’s or smk’s. Has anyone tried these and what was your experience?

Also this barrel will be a 1-9. The factory 1-9.25 stabilized the other 180’s well, but I’ve not tried the 185’s. What twist were you running? I haven’t been able to find a recommendation from Nosler like Berger and Sierra put on theirs.

I did a post a couple years ago about the 140gr 6.5mm RDF's from a standard twist Creedmoor.
I bought a small pile of blems on a first responder deal for next to nothing.
The bullets are fine enough, no real gripes. "Tipping" the bullets gain you a few tenths in the BC department, but isn't much more than that.

Give them a whirl and I think you'll be happy, just don't expect magic.

Cheers
