I have an old remington rifle that I cant identify. The barrel code is RA 0-43, the serial number is 4103882. Can anyone tell me what I have? Sorry.....Its is a bolt action 30-06. Also the 0-43 might be a 10-43.

give us a picture to look at. But, I would guess the gun is a 03A3 Springfield made by Remington. I just recently bought a 03A3 and it had similar markings on the top edge on the barrel behind the front sight. mine were RA and 5-43. Is there a circle with flames coming off it near those marks? If so, that is the proof mark from the military inspector.

Yes it has the smoke circle. Im pretty sure this is an 03-A3 Remington. Thanks guys.
