I am researching a replacement scope for a 30-06 used primarily for upper mid-west whitetail hunting and a once every 5 years or so elk trip. I budgeting a mid-priced ($500 +/-) scope and have prior, and positive, experience with Leupold, Burris, Vortex mid-market scopes. I am currently leaning in favor of the Trijicon Huron (1-inch tube) 3-9x40 based on their reputation for military sights, weight and simple BDC reticule...but have zero personal experience with the brand. I welcome and advice Forum members can share and/or compare with the other brands.
