Reloading for .38 Super, 5.1/BE-86/147 gr TC-PC, 1.257 + .0005". FACTORY ammo (130 gr. FMJRN) measures 1.278 + .0005".
Factory stuff goes in fine, reasonable distance above the chamber rear, and falls out when the barrel is inverted. MY reload is similar in all respects, but WILL NOT fall out when the barrel is inverted. Is the "tackiness" of the polymer coating causing the projectile to stick to the chamber/barrel interior, or do I have my reloads too short (OR too long)?
I recall having this problem once before, a very long time ago, but I cannot remember how I resolved it.

If marks on the bullet/case aren't apparent, then 'paint' it with a dry erase marker, or similar, and see where that rubs off.

Sizing die needs to get closer to the base OR your crimp is too much and you’re distorting the case too much where it ends on the bullet. Back the crimp off a bit.
