I can't speak to the quality of their single action revolvers. I did purchase a Witness Compact semi auto from them a few years ago however. It was a 10mm. The gun would not feed properly and they would not fix it. I was told it was only intended to be used with the near 40S&W level factory rounds. What's the point of a 10mm if it has to be a 40 Short & Weak in the 10mm case? It would throw brass 50-70 feet to the side, with the exception of the occasional round that would come straight back staple you on the center of the forehead with the same force of the ones that where flying 50-70 feet. This would leave a mark. I was told I was "holding the gun wrong" and that there was nothing they could do to fix "my" problem. I've been shooting handguns for 17 of my 31 years, and I've got quite a few autos, so I'm guessing I know how to hold them. The gun was a POS and they where not willing to do anything to correct the problem, so as far as I'm concerned, they are not worth a shite. The don't really make any of the guns that they import and from what I can tell, they don't stand behind them either.

Zep,
What bigger, or better, caliber can you stuff in a compact? A 45 Super? Bigger case makes bigger divot in forehead! If the slide of a compact can't handle a 10mm, it certainly can't handle a 45 Super. The maker produced a firearm incapable of handling the cartridge. I'd have happily traded it for a new firearm in a different caliber.

The 10mm is the most ignored advancement, and I mean true advancement in auto pistol development. We're not talking Desert Eagles here, carryable, concealable guns. If you want the merits I will list them. I do feel better about taking a case to the forehead than early Colt Delta owners taking a slide to the upper body. I guess it taught Colt a thing or two about slide metal toughness, and shock buffs.:)

I see alot of firearms that are listed on the EAA website, but it is beyond me to buy one. The last time I purchased a firearm from them they gave me excuses and BS when it did not function correctly. No service is no purchase for me. My dealer offered to send it to them and eat the next day for me and they still offered no fix.
