I am planning on attaching a bead on the rear of my front sight blade.  I have installed an Ashley sight system on my model 1886. I think a small bead on the front sight blade would help me pick up the sight faster and more consistantly.  My front sight blade is 0.060 inches wide.  The rear aperture is .191 inches diameter.  My plan was to make a small bead out of white plastic or ivory and glue/epoxy it to the rear of the blade.  What size bead would you recommend?  Any improvements or suggestions on my plan would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

DocRob,
I would make that bead about 3/32", white and with a flat face. I'm not sure what materials are available to you or what the cost would be, but if it is very much at all I might just get a Marbles or something similar from Brownells.        IDShooter
