It's not necessary to log out most times. It might be a good idea if you're using 2 computers, say one at work during the day and your home computer in the evening. Don't know for sure. Logging in let's you post and keeps track of the new posts since your last visit. It pays to clean out the cookie jar once in awhile, as many websites dump stuff in there and the computer gets confused.
