I've got a few boxes of "EW 43" headstamped M2 Ball. I was wondering about the histoy of the plant, where EW was, how many rounds they made, etc.

EW started out as EC, something like DM, Des Moines, Iowa but over and down in Evansville, Ind Chrysler operated 2 plants, rather than stamp cases made there EI or EV Chrysler for vain reasons wanted EC for Evansville Chrysler, they got there way and EC became EW. The Evansville plants made 45 ACP.

"In. plant also loaded some" it was plants as in more than one, one was the Sun Bean plant, the non brass cases were made at the Sun Beam plant, hauled across town and loaded at the other plant.
