Went out to shoot yesterday evening but the grass was too high. Only had the weed whacker with me, needed the lawn mower. Probably try again Fri. if the weather holds. I've got a hunting rifle 30.06, I changed loads and scopes on and always practice and oad development on the 1894 and SBH 44s. I have to do some plinking with the self offense weapon just to keep in shape and sling lead.

Hope you guys have a good shooting time this weekend.

THE GRASS WAS TOO HIGH !!! You just brought back a wonderful memory from when I lived on the East Coast. Our shooting range had a bowl-like depression, and when it rained a lot in the spring it would stay too wet to mow! Then the grass would get too high to shoot. Man, I hadn't thought of that in years!

Now the range I go to is rocks, gravel, and dirt. Not too much rain in North Idaho.

Just got back from the range this morning -

5 rifles to test out new loads (trying to use up a bunch of powder that's been in the cabinet for years).

6.5x55 Swede (customized)

6.5x.257 Ack Imp (Customized 1908 Brazilian Mauser)

7mm Rem Mag (Ruger M77 tang safety type)

7mm Dakota (Customized M77 tang safety Ruger)

30-06 (pre-war Winchester Mod 70)

Now, the load evaluations, cleaning and reloading begins!!
