I have owned RCBS single stage presses of all description, one Hornady Pro-jector, two Dillon 1050 presses and one Dillon 650.

I STILL have all the RCBS single stage presses, the Hornady Pro-jector was trash from day one. Two die stations were bored .006 off center, resulting in banana shaped cases. I returned the press to Hornady, they found nothing wrong with it and REFUSED to replace it. They had no explanation of how the cases I included with the press got the banana shape on one side.

My one Dillon 1050 was from when it still came with a lifetime guarantee. My other is a Super 1050 that handles longer cases that the regular 1050 can't. The Dillon 650 that I owned I sold because I didn't care for the play between the die holder and the press. I got $50 more for the press than I paid for it, two years after I bought it.

Precision loading takes place on my Forster Co-ax or my single stage RCBS presses. Volume loads happen on the Dillon presses.

Dillon has a "no BS guarantee" but LATELY with Dillon, it depends on who you get when you call for replacement parts. It may take two or more calls to get what you deserve. If Dillon had the attitude that they have now back when I bought my presses I would never have bothered buying anything from them.

Dillon XL 650 vs Super 1050

I saw a great YouTube video by SoCal Prepper on the difference between the Dillon XL 650 and the Dillon Super 1050. I am setting up my hobby room for reloading. The 1050 comes complete and works well. I would saw that is nice for the heavy reloading and the onzee two zee odd reloads a single stage or 650 would work if you had room for two reloaded.
Check it out. Choosing the Dillon 1050 or Dillon 650 Progressive Loader - YouTube
