I have a S&W 67 , 38 special.  I like the gun a lot, but sometimes I want a little more horse power. Would it be safe to rechamber to 357 Mag.???  I've heard if you want a Mag, buy a Mag, [ I have a Colt Trooper 6", Taurus 605 3", and Winchester 94 Trapper]. 99.5 % of my shooting is with very mild 158 RF lead bullets, but the other 0.5 % I like 180 gr. with lots of 2400 or H110 behind it. The S&W K frame is chambered for 357 { M66, M65, etc.} Will my M67 stand the pressure?<!--emo&???--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

That's a question only Smith & Wesson can really answer.  The steel used for your M67 may or may not be the same as used for the M66, and it may or may not have received the same heat treatment.
The other issue is that the loads you mention will shoot a K-frame loose in short order.  With the relatively low price of police trade-in L-frames, that would seem to me to be a better route to go.
Good shooting
