A while back I came across a thread (not sure which forum) about a spotting scope that was relatively inexpensive but got very high "marks" from several members. I can not find the site and for the life of me I can't recall the name of the manufacturer. Can anyone help? This will not be used for long range hunting but rather for down range spotting of target shooting. thanks

Our local gunrange recently purchased about a dozen of the new Leupold Windriver 15x45x60 scopes, and for a moderately inexpensive scope, they work quite well. I have several different scopes and must say, I'm impressed with the Leupold offering at this price range.

how about pro optics?

my other post on spotting scopes was in error----it was Pro Optics that I was inquiring about. There was a post here months ago where one person said he really liked the Pro Optic spotter but there wasn't many other posts on it. So, anyone have any personal experience with the Pro Optic Fieldstar spotting scope?? thanks
