Dots

For heavy kicking guns, I have found that the Eotech is a robust sight as is the Aimpoint series.
One of my heaviest kicking guns has a Tasco ProPoint on it and that has held up for a while.

Trij's are great sighting devices, ACOG even better if you can afford one.
I've used an Ampoint Comp ML2 on several guns from .223 to 45-70 without harm

About the Trijicon and the Burris......I really don't know. I haven't tried the Burris. I have two Trijicon sights - one of the Reflex sights (RX01). That did OK on a heavy kicking pistol that had broken a couple of other dots. I have one of their ACOGs (Ta01) and it has never been on a heavy kicker, so I don't know.

Well to me 270 not heavy recoil anymore it was when I was first shooting it. But I want to get a 460 wby next year. See the college pays about 1300$ first semester second semester is over 2 k. So I want to graduly setup. A 460 with a good redot. Or scot. I lime the 4x model yellow chevron. Or the rmr 4 moa dot. I seen a review of the rmr on a hi pistol and. When fired it hit the glass with brass.every.time.but didn't even scratch it.

I agree that the 270 is not a heavy kicker - not in the same class as the big Weatherby. UltraDot does make very durable scopes in any case. Worth looking into.
Bullseye shooters have been slide mounting them on 1911s for years - that ride back and forth on the slide of a .45 qulaifies as heavy recoil....and the scopes go for years.
