Remington 1911 R1.. good? bad?

I’m looking to get my first 1911. I really like the looks of the original design. I’m thinking of getting a Remington 1911 R1, anyone have any experience with these?

:( I ordered the new Ruger 1911 also ...they told me at least 90 days , but from what I've read and heard they are worth the wait. I checked out the R1 but decided to go with the Ruger.
