I have been thinking about getting one as a "test bed" to learn how to work on a 1911. It appears to be a reasonably well made gun from the online reviews I have read and the 2 I have handled. It is not a strict 1911 as was pointed out above, but a practical one. Close enough for me to play with.
Remington 1911 R1.. good? bad?
I’m looking to get my first 1911. I really like the looks of the original design. I’m thinking of getting a Remington 1911 R1, anyone have any experience with these?
