My nearest gun shop has one now, and I handled it last week. Seems like a decent GI-style Government Model. As I am not in the market right now, I cannot recall the exact price -- somewhere just north of $600, I believe, but not too far north. I think in the marketplace that actual retail will shake out at around $550-600

If you are talking about their new 1911 entry, I just bought one. Found one at Cheaper Than Dirt.
Nice and accurate with the easiest slide I've ever seen.
Worth the money.

What did you end up paying for it? and when did you get it?

Bought it last week, and paid about $620.00.
I like it. As I said, the slide is very easy to pull back and no noticable slop in the mechanism.
3 1/2" 15 yard groups are as good as I can shoot it. But that's as good as I get out of my other 1911's.
Never claimed to be a crack shot-
Good Luck
