I just purchased a Ruger Old Army revolver and I remember seeing some loading stands in the past that shooters used to hold the gun upright while they loaded it. Anyone have a drawing or picture that I can use as a plan to make one? Thanks for any help.

I have a commercially made loading stand I bought on a clearance table years ago. It was about as cheap as I could make it, so I thought "what the heck?"
When you make yours, make the side opposite the pistol a little longer than usual if you can.
Then attach a couple felt-lined boxes (the bottom of Altoids mint cans works well) to this side. You can keep caps and projectiles in them, and they're easier to pick up from felt than the slick steel used in these cans.
