I have looked all over the inet and cannot find a plce to tell me the twist rate on my Winchester model 94 Trapper in .44 Remington magnun. Can anyone help? Winchester posts no specs.

According to my twist rate chart: Win Mod 94 .44 Mag = 1:38

Mine was made in 1970 and has a 1 in 36. I heard the later models have a faster twist.

Take a cleaning rod with a brush on it, place a piece of tape on the shaft to act as a flag, mark the rod with a marker at the muzzle with the rod already started in the barrel, watch until the flag makes a revolution, mark rod again with a marker, remove and measure between two marks.
