When did Ruger cease manufacture of the 96/22?

I use a 22Mag. Very ordinary accuracy unti I attended to the bedding and removed the barrel band.
The final job was a trigger job to get around 3 1/2lb. A vast improvement.

I like Ruger's and they comprise 8 firearms (1/3) of the guns I own. I like them.

Ruger is a very market wise company. If a model doesn't sell, they cut it from the herd. A local shop has had a sale ticket on a 96/22 for about a year now. His prices are better than most.
