Yes, the mags can be stripped for cleaning, the how-to is in the owners manual. If you are carrying the spare without a mag pouch I would skip any lubrication.

I would pass on the nail polish, there won't be enough moisture to affect the primer. I would be more concerned about the nail polish causing issues.

 

I don't know about moisture. I am old and fat and sweat too much. We use to put nail polish on rifle primers. Hunting in lower Alabama, we get wet. I never had one painted fail.

 

I sorta vote "no" on the nail-polish thing (for my ammunition).

You can get actual primer sealer from a reloading supply place, I have even seen it at bass pro

But having shot ammo that was literally soaked in water for a few hours witj no issue I wouldnt worry about it

 

We used to seal primers used in bag sticks with nail polish. I never had one go bad. Thx

Compressed air is your friend. If you're consistently saturating your weapon/ammo I'd set time to rotate that ammo out, use it at the range for training, and load new. Modern ammo is very difficult to render useless in a high moisture environment but if you're carrying for defensive purposes I'd "block" your ammo once in awhile and put some fresh pills in those mags.
