The accuracy of my .300 Weatherby Ruger #1 deteriorated as the barrel warmed up so I tried James Gates forearm bedding procedure in Tech Notes.
It worked! Instead of vertical stringing and wandering shots I now get nice tight circular groups. (180 Sierra HPBT/ 83 grs IMR7828/ Fed 215/ 3100 fps). It also has a Moyers trigger.
Makes you wonder why the factory doesn't do something like it to float the barrel.
