Im looking for replacement grip panel inserts for the stock sp101 grips. I want to dress my gun up a little, and would like simulated ivory to replace the black plastic inserts. Any help with finding a company that makes them would be appreciated.

try Hogue     I think it's get-grip.com

Eagle grips are really nice, ajax makes good ones too.. All these companies offer simulated ivory and Eagle offers REAL ivory if you can meet their prices.

Thanks m141a. Ajax does not list any grip panels for the sp101 on their website, just for the redhawk and blackhawk. Ill try eagle grips. Thanks again.

Ibelieve that both Ajax and Eagle will Make custom grips for ANY handgun.  I had contacted Eagle for a set for an old Colt Match Tatget Woodsman I have.  The were not cheap, but I hear the quality is second to none.  Try a search on the net.;)

If you're handy with wood-working tools, a set of grip inserts isn't hard at all for the SP101 or the GP100, as the back portion of these grip panels are totally flat.  Too, the exisitng panels may be used as patterns both for cutting to shape, and for drilling.  (drill first, then using the drilled hole for an index point, then mark and cut your panels)  I've made really nice grips for both models listed in the past from Cherry and one set in Myrtlewood.  Neither set took longer than a Saturday Afternoon, and the hardwood for each set cost less than three bucks buying hardwood scrap from dealer's trim bins!

Who knows.... maybe you'll make a career move! <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

Just a thought!

God Bless,

Marshall

Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll try to make some out of wood, see how hard it is. Then maybe buy some made for a different gun and re-shape them. Thanks for the Idea!
