looking for some help in finding a replacement stock for my ruger mk1 25/06. have brought a boyds mk11 stock for my 7 rem mag, but boyds dont do mk1.any help greatly appreciated.
not to nit pick but the original M77 is just that M77 it is not a Mark I, it is however refered to by many as a tang safety model. if you use the term Mark I when inquiring about a stock with some mfr, the customer service person may not know the difference and as a result not find your stock.
Only experience I've had with a Boyd's was for a 6.5 Swede. Being one of a group of small ring mausers, I'd guess they had to do a generic inletting trying to accomodate all models. As a result, there was a considerable abount of handfitting plus a need for glass bedding to fill all the oversize nooks and crannies. If your rifle is manufacture specific, might not have to do all that.
