I just got done cleaning my Saiga rifle. This was the first time I've had a chance to attemp any accurate shooting with it. I tried various brands of ammo. Here are the results, keep in mind that this is a very unsientific test and I was shooting off-hand. Romanian soft point; 2-3 inches at 25 yrds. Russain H.P.: 3-4 inches at 25 yards. Brown Bear: 1.5 inches at 25 yards and PMC 1.5 inches at 25 yards
With some of the HP I could hear the hammer drop before the round went off! What junk! I remember the Romanian stuff as being faily nasty also when fired through an SKS I once owned. I wonder how the rifle would shoot off a rest at 100 yards Have any of you had any experience with these rifles?
