I picked up a Finnbear Deluxe AV with a Used Nikon Monarch UCC 3.5-10x50 scope. The gun had definitely been used . Scratches and ding on the stock, also the blueing is worn from what appears to be a saddle scabbard maybe as the wear is mainly on the top of the barrel. Also there is what appears to be glue or some type clear lacquer on one side of the stock.

My question is Does anybody know how the glue or lacquer can be removed without damaging the finish? Also if I had the barrel reblued, would it devalue the rifle?

Any help is appreciated.
