I have a Savage 111 in 308 and a Remington 710 in 30-06 comeing here next week. They both have simalar stocks and scopes.I got these two rifles in trade and only need to keep one of them.I will need the rifle for long range shooting and a little hunting for medium size game.My question is which rifle should I keep.I am new to bolt action rifles and these two calibers. And know very little about these two models. Thanks in advance.

Bisley,
If it were me, I'd shoot 'em both and pick the one I liked the best.  No matter what cartridge you prefer, if the rifle doesn't fit right or feel right or shoot right, well it just ain't right.  <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

If you don't like either one, you could always trade both for something you do like, and have enough left over for dies, powder and bullets to shoot for a long long time.

Best of luck.
