Can anyone tell me if the model 10 is the same as the model 110....?

I am looking for a new stock for my 243 cal. model 10 but all I come up with is the model 110...Any help will be appreciated here.....If anyone knows where to look for a new or good used stock for this rifle can you please let me know..Thanks-John

No they aren't, the 10 is a short action and the 110 is a long action. This is the same for all Savages (12/112).

Try ebay or gunbroker.com. If you want a new stock, boyd's stocks are very affordable. I ordered one Friday for my Winchester Model 70 and the total price after shipping was $107

I'll add that Boyds stocks are often more readily available from stockeysstocks.com than direct from Boyds.

EDITED TO ADD: You absolutely must measure the action screw spacing on your short-action in order to make sure you get the correct stock. Savage has used 3 different screw spacings on the short actions, all of which have been within the past ~decade (so it's not a case of the really old ones vs. new; it's all the new ones that are changing all around).
