Ok these are not muzzleloaders but they facinate me to no end! They are Norwegian blackpowder capping breechloaders. They do not use metallic cartridges. I just wanted to draw attention to them again because I think they are so cool. I have no idea why but I do. The breechloading flintlock pistol experiment I've posted before. I think it was inspired by the Scheel patent. Two thumbs up to the author. The break open pistols are a Lobnitz design. The other is (likely) a Scheel pistol. Both patents are used in the Norwegian Kammerladder (chamberloader) rifle. These were made around the mid 1800's. None of this is mine. I can't afford such things.
