 I am new to scopes and have a couple questions...
When looking threw a scope the odd circle thing when focus is that called the ''eye relief''?
Is so is there a scope that makes the relief easy to look threw..?

My other question is ...understanding the power ? is the ''3x9 ''' 3 focus 9 ?
I have 2 Rifles 30-30 and .22 any ideas for scopes ?

thanks for your time

Eye relief is how far away from the scope you can clearly see through the scope, a heavy recoiling or handgun requires more eye relief. a 3X9 scope can be adjusted to make objects appear 3-9 times closer. If there is a Gander mountain out where you are they usually have a display where you can look through the various scopes. What works for one person doesn't always work for the next.
