Hello all. As you can see only the General Discussion is currently online. We had an attack on our boards, I have been working for the past 24 hours to resurect them and it may be up to two days before the other forums come back. Thankfully no posts or data were lost, just a few specific, strategic info files, which we are going to have to rebuild.

Thank you all for your patience, we are hoping to have the forums back up ahead of schedule (originally planned for tomorrow or monday), but no guarantees, sorry.

Please feel very free to post whatever you would like for the time being in the General Discussion, don't be hindered by topic, Lever Action, Rifle, Handgun.... post them all. We'll have the different catagories back online as soon as possible, but until then use this for a catch all.

Hi, Alex:
 Cogratulations on getting the forum back up. Some of us were getting desperate <!--emo&--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''><!--endemo-->. The back pages are still out of order. The first page (27) starts Aug 5, 2001, instead of Dec 30, 2000. Some threads are hiding, #63 in Lever Guns in particular. Hope you just have to re-index the data base.

 If you have time, could you explain in general terms how this attack happened? There's no point in giving some wrapped minds too many hints.

This website is hosted on a unix host running the Apache server, extremely secure- when properly setup. There seems to have been a slight security breech in the instalation of this forum when mixed with the settings on the server.

I believe that we have cured this issue and I pray there will be no further complications. I will see what I can do about the missing threads, there may be nothing I can, I will look into it. Please keep me updated on the problems in specific as you get to them.

Hi, Alex:
  Topic #63 is still there. Just go to the lastest topic in Leverguns, then replace it's number in the location bar with 63 and hit enter. But if you search on the keyword "Action", there's no find. I went through most of the pages this afternoon and couldn't find #63 either. So I guess your index got messed up??
