Saw an old picture of some "good old boys" shooting long range with handguns. They had a strap around their neck and right shoulder that was attached to the gun. This strap was of such a length that the extended arms of the shooter created a pressure on the strap that assisted in stability. Is this a valid accessory and how would it be attached to the gun?

Am not sure that I know what you mean by valid, but from a shooting perspective, it works and adds control. I have tried it and found it to work well, but it is a pain to have something else hanging on you. Try it, you might like it!

Is the strap attached to the gun or as someone suggested, to your wrist?

Old Jim, I saw a guy with a T/C in .223, with a swivel on the bottom and a strap with a clip attached to it some years ago. Looking in one of the catalogs at the shop where I work it shows that Uncle Mike's makes the strap and ETC...had thought about getting a T/C with a 14 or 16 in bbl and doing the same thing, but had to many other toys I had to buy first.
