I just placed an order for a Skinner Alaskan peep site. I will shoot the rifle using the original bead front sight. I plan to test using 405 Grain Round Flat Nose Gas Check bullets from Matts Bullets.

I don't think I've ever heard a negative report on Skinner sights. Only caveat is that you may need to replace your front sight with a taller one depending on your rifle. I'm considering the Skinner Alaskan for my Henry 45-70. But for now I'm well pleased with how she shoots with the factory setup.
