just found out im getting snake boots for christmas..hope they good walking shoes ..
its always bothered me a bit as to what id do if a big rattler hit me when i was deep in the woods..theres no sure thing ,but at least it will up my chances some..im always watchful as to where i put my hands etc..

I bought a pair of waterproof snakeboots late last year from BassPro. Mine are pretty decent for treking in, as far as boots go. I wear them early in the season, once it gets cold I'm not so worried about snakes.

Yeah... a couple years ago, the day after Christmas, it was in the 70s and I got chased down a levee by a cotton mouth

Cottonmouths are mean. I got some at Basspro last year too...Irish Setters on sale for $79. They work well for everything. Well, except a snake bite...I haven't had the luck of finding that out yet.
