This tip alone made all the difference between me choosing which bullet to use. While I might occasionally use a partition or other semi-jacketed hunting bullet, I expect the majority of the game I take will be using an annealed Beartooth.
Here's a question. Using a fine-point mini-torch, would it be beneficial to anneal only the center of the nose, leaving a hardened exterior shell? Or would the hardened exterior chip, flake or break off once the soft creamy middle begins to expand?
