Sport with gun and rod in American woods and waters, Volume1 & 2 edited by Alfred Marshall Mayer. There are more copies in google books if this is missing a page or something. I read only sections and scanned for quality. It is like a collection of Field and Stream articles only from the early 1880's or before. Some of the practices are obsolete or outlawed now like porpoise shooting, but it is all interesting to me none the less as it was a part of history. It is perfectly understandable unlike some earlier publications with strange language. I enjoyed reading the sections I selected to read. Hope this is acceptable.
