Dunno if this will interest any, but most are outdoorsmen and you can impress your children by sagely pointing out, uh, Hornicles the Rhinoceros constellation and, ah, Creepicus, the, uh, big spider-looking bunch of stars. If nothing else, you can wonder why the pole star never seems to move.Star Chart

Hi, Gents:
You reminded me that I should drag out the old Newtonian and check out the stars, now that it's warmed up and before the skeeters get out. It's been awhile and I'll probably get lost in space. :confused:

Hunting and fishing are all about nature, and stars are right up there with trees. If you know them even a little, you feel watched over at night, and pondering their amazing size and distance will humble you and make you part of the whole scheme...

I tried going out and sketching constellations last night, but the dang aurora borealis (northern lights) kept getting in the way! Quite distracting.:D
