Does anyone use a 20 inch coach gun for upland hunting. I am looking at buying a Stoeger 12 ga coach gun with screw in chokes for squirrel and rabbit hunting. The screw in chokes will allow me to tighten up the choke for longer shoots. I shot one of these coach guns the other day and it was handier than a shirt pocket. There can't be that much difference between the 20 in and the popular 24 inch barrels.

Take a hard look at some of the other web sites and their shotgun forums.
www.shotgunworld.com The Stoeger has some less than favorable reviews, after people have used them.

A good pump or semi auto might serve you better.

Remington imported some nice inexpensive coaches a couple of years ago from Russia, but i don't know if they still offer them.

I've used mine for pheasant, but I learned you have to be really close. I limit myself to about 20 yards. Mine has fixed modified and improved chokes, so you might do better with a full choke. Some of the places I hunt you have to push through some really thick brush and the gun is very handy for that.

I looked at a Rem. called a Bounty Hunter had a 45/70 barrel insert in the right bore.

I have been looking at a CZ-USA coach gun looks nice but haven't handled one. Check out the link.

That cz is a nice one indeed, but @ almost $900.00 and no chokes, not sure it will fill the op's purpose.
