Hello all, newbie to da forum but not at reloading except for the subsonic . I've got the 308 doing well but now i'm needing help rolling a subsonic for 9mm. anyone here that can mentor me to get there

Most sub loads use heavy bullets (147 grain) to maintain terminal performance and action function. You can find information below, all of Hodgdon’s 147-grain data is subsonic in handguns.

Certainly the easiest way is to use the heavy weight published data....147gr. petty much exist for that kind of loading(although I do remember IMI had some 158gr. sub sonic loads).

Carbines might boost that up to transonic....but that can be handled with a swapto a fast burn powder and/or a reduction in powder charge (keeping functioning).

For those using a silencer (where/when legal)...would want aclean burn and a faster powder anyway....it's the gas exit pressure/volume that those add-ons have to hush up.
