I saw at one time a gripframe screw that had a sling swivel stud incorperated on it for mounting a sling one a Super Redhawk but Im unable to find one. I have a 9/12" modle that would benifit the use of a sling (barrel band on the front, grip stud in the rear) and that is the best way to carry a large frame and barreled handgun in MHO...as the only other way is with a bandolier type holster that is cumbersome and awkward.

Does anyone have any clue as to where to buy this stud??

To install a sling swivel stud in the grip of your Ruger Super Redhawk, you will need a Hogue rubber grip and an Uncle Mike's threaded sling swivel stud w/nut...

e-mail me your address and I'll send you the swivel stud and nut....

Great thanks Assassin! I have Hogue grips on it now but will be replacing them with Hogue fancy wood grips as soo as Midway gets them to me. I thing they will break if shot off of a bench if I put a swivel in them directly.

I know someone made a direct replacement grip frame screw that instead of slotted it had a sling stud incorperated in the unit.

Your SBH looks awesome!
