I have this Savage Cub in .22lr. My question is, I have been taking it down now and then for ease of transport by loosening the screws which hold the bolt and barrel in place on the stock. It essentially becomes just a wooden stock in one piece and all the metal contained in the trigger, bolt and barrel in the other piece. Is this rifle going to lose it's zero by continually doing this or does it not affect the accuracy of the weapon by taking it down?
