I just mounted  this scope on my 300 Mag. What is this locking button on the side of the scope and how does it work? I hate to be stupid but I have never had one like this. The gun shope said it is something called a poise lock. Any help would be appreciated, becouse there were "no" instructions to tell me what to do.

Sounds like the Burris Posi-Lock, which is a feature on some of the Burris scopes that locks the recticle after it is adjusted.  Supposed to help keep the scope from losing zero if it get whacked.

Don't know about any such thing on a Tasco.  It could be similar and if so, you definitely would want to unlock it before adjusting your scope, otherwise the scope could get messed up.  Best contact Tasco and get some instructions.

I'm not sure on this one either, but I did go to Tasco's website to check for instructions on these new scopes...no such luck.  However, I did find their online customer service help center, here's the link:

Tasco Customer Service Contact Center

Drop them a message and get the particulars on your scope.

God Bless,

Marshall
