I too started out with a 22/410 Stevens and is still my chicken (sharp tail) and partridge gun. The best shooting 22 that I own. I fell so in love with the combo gun that I managed to find a Tika Turkey Gun, a 12 guage on top of a .222 Rem. We don't have turkeys around here but it sure makes a fine varmit gun. I am definatley going to try the buck shot loads in my .410.
