I don't live in an area where there are any good gunstores so getting a look at anything that shoots is not very practical for me.  Anyway, I was looking at the marketing material for the Winchester Trails End and Legacy and trying to figure out how the front sights are mounted.  It kinda looks like the Trails End front sight is dovetailed into a slot in the barrel, but I can't tell what's going on with the Legacy... it sort of looks like there's a blade pinned into a block welded on the barrel.  I'll probably want to mount a Lyman 17A on the rifle I decide to order; therefore, a dovetail cut in the barrel at the factory is most desirable.

The other topic I wanted to bring up is accuracy of these two models.  It's been pretty well established that the rifle version of the older Winchester '94s beats the carbine in the accuracy department.  However, I doubt if that applies to the Trails End vs. the Legacy because it looks as though the magazines are mounted the same.  Any input?
