I posted a question on the Wildcat board with regards to using standard Lee Loader dies on AI cartridges. Well, my Lee Loader die in .223 Rem. arrived so I ran out and fired 10 rds. of proven and measured loads (.223 AI). After sizing these cases in the Lee Loader, I found that the brass would no longer chamber in my rifle. They were a bit larger at the shoulder/body junction after being run through the Lee die (necks lubed with dry mica). It appears that there is not enough support in this area in the die and when tapped in, the inward force on the neck pushes the shoulder out far enough to prevent complete chambering. Any ideas?
