Leave the hammer spring alone. It does not change trigger pull. Do the metal work for creep and trigger spring for pull. Like most Ruger's they leave a lot of metal and rough surfaces. Some guns have the wrong angles so you see the hammer come back as you pull the trigger or some wrencher changed it. Never change the angle, just polish and lube.
To weaken a hammer spring in any gun makes it a rock launcher. My Marlin .44 was at 1-1/2# but the rifling twist defeated me.
