What are the guidelines for shopping for a gun with a light trigger pull. I want to get a compact 9mm. I have been looking at the following models:
1. FNP-9
2. PX4
3. 24/7
4. Desert Eagle

Fer What ??

You failed to state what the weapon would be used for and to me this makes a difference.

RANGE FUN -----> almost any pull weight will do. Single action, I'd say 4-6lbs would be great. Double action(super long take up)probably 8-10lbs would be good.

CCW PISTOL -----> 4lbs for single action. NO double action for me. My Glock 20 that is used for hunting and CCW is set at 4lbs. My Glock 19 that I carry is set for 3lbs 4ozs. My Kimber that is used for CC is set at 3lbs with NO creep and very little over travel.

I like light triggers. In a stressful environment they could be a bad thing, depending on your level of training. I would say......whatever feels right for you,the individual. -----pruhdlr
